I bought this DVD and when I played it, it was scratched. I mean certain scenes were gone and the last hour just repeats the same 3 scenes over and over again. So if it's scratched, is there a way to repair/fix it?

If you were gonna buy a house with a big front and back yard, and it was dry with little rain in the summer. Would you rather see grass in the front yard or nice rocks?
What should we do?
1.just replant grass,hope that it looks good until the next people move in.
2.pour some nice gravel,and maybe some small hills with yucca's
on top maybe a small tree.
P.S. The back yard has trees w/ grass nice shade.The front no trees. dry and no shade and is tilled and ready for something.
