It depends- I usually like to play Joy Division when I'm angry and screaming and Depeche Mode when I'm angry and about to cry. My logic is that if I'm screaming angry then the depressive lyrics and moody and deep voice of Ian Curtis brings me back to normal. If I'm crying angry then the bouncy soundtrack and Dave Gahan's calming voice will soothe me.
Problem is, if I listen to too much Joy Division then I can cry....

Nine Inch Nails. If it is work related "Happiness in Slavery" or "Head like a Hole." Basically 'Pretty Hate Machine' and the 'Broken EP'. I go off in a dark room away from everyone, blast NIN and scream along with Trent. Can't scream at those usually responsible for my being so angry, not unless I want to stand in the unemployment line.

Van Gogh with a razor blade (?)

Whoops...my bad.

Hmmmm...if I want to calm down, 'Everything Merges With The Night' by Brian Eno, which is really peaceful and beautiful. Or something really life-affirming: 'L'Amour Fou' by Kanda Bongo Man, which is a Zairean soukous album - the most joyful music you'll ever hear. 'Me And Julio Down By The Schoolyard' by Paul Simon, or I'll play it myself. 'Lean On Me' (Al Green version); 'I Wish' (Nina Simone); 'Don't Let The Sunshine Fool You' by Townes Van Zandt; anything by Fats Domino or Chuck Berry.

If I want to get even more pissed off: The whole of 'Sister Ray' by the Velvet Underground, with the volume at 10 (the live version runs just under 38 minutes); 'I Hate Rock And Roll' by the Jesus & Mary Chain; 'Tourette's' by Nirvana, anything by The Swans; some of Nick Cave's darker stuff.

If there's no charge left on the iPod, I normally just clock the offending party in the eye : )

Ah, that's better.

Even though I LOVE music I don't play any when I'm angry. How could you put something on anyway?
It might sound stupid but I take to a drink but that can't do nothing for me either. I'm so wound up that I can't seem to get drunk or get even more anger inside me!

Normally anything by Linkin Park will do the trick (favourites are Hybird Theory album and Collision Course with Jay Z) .

Guns 'n' roses - very loud. The only really dangerous thing about it is that playing you could be mine in the car when you are already angry makes for road rage!!!

I never want to listen to music when I am angry. When I am sad however I like to listen to certain songs that make me think of certain people. Reba does the trick more than anyone.

"Somebody" is the best one.
