things with sentamental value such as movie ticket stubs from a first date, the newborn ID bracelet (if u have kids), program from a loved one's graduation or play, dried flower petals from a wedding, etc. & lots of pictures.
My wife is a scrapbooking addict & those are kinds of things that she puts in her books.

Go to a hobby/ craft store they have tons of stuff it'll be sensory overload...then there are scrap booking websites that also help..I started to scrapbook and one thing I did was find scrap paper the size of the pages and made a layout of what I wanted the page to look like with the wording and such that way you don't waste the nice paper which can get very expensive...
