Should be over 130 bands in 3 days at Grant Park in Chicago. Plenty of well known groups: Wilco, Poi Dog, Flaming Lips, RHCP, DCFC.

Question is: name a couple of lesser known but really good groups that would be worth seeing. (Raconteurs already on my list!)

Best: Highland Heights, KY. It's a small, compact suburban community just outside of Cincinnati. I love the South, and while this isn't the South, people there are still friendly. The steep hills leading to the Ohio River are just beautiful, there is so much to do in nearby Covington, Newport, and Cincinnati, and it's still close to other cities. The park system in the region is great, also.

Worst: Louisville, KY. I lived there for 9 months for school and hated it! I couldn't stand my roommate, the city is dirty (except for the east side), and people are very rude and impolite. The TWO worst service experiences I've ever had in a restaurant were in this city. Even in churches and at the airport, people are rude, pushy, and unhelpful. (Worse than NYC.) Come on, they claim to be a city full of Southern hospitality. HA! I like the natural beauty and the park system.

I like Austin, San Antonio, Birmingham, and Ft. Worth. Folks are just friendlier (for the most part) down South
