Best: Highland Heights, KY. It's a small, compact suburban community just outside of Cincinnati. I love the South, and while this isn't the South, people there are still friendly. The steep hills leading to the Ohio River are just beautiful, there is so much to do in nearby Covington, Newport, and Cincinnati, and it's still close to other cities. The park system in the region is great, also.

Worst: Louisville, KY. I lived there for 9 months for school and hated it! I couldn't stand my roommate, the city is dirty (except for the east side), and people are very rude and impolite. The TWO worst service experiences I've ever had in a restaurant were in this city. Even in churches and at the airport, people are rude, pushy, and unhelpful. (Worse than NYC.) Come on, they claim to be a city full of Southern hospitality. HA! I like the natural beauty and the park system.

I like Austin, San Antonio, Birmingham, and Ft. Worth. Folks are just friendlier (for the most part) down South

Ok, how good was your best, and how bad was your worst. Sorry I didn't catch it sooner.

(Worst)
The worst place I ever lived was in the Ghettos (projects) of downtown Charleston (south carolina). Nothing but trash and dogs and drug dealing. people killing each other, AIDS ridden people, crime and police brutality.

(Nice)
But when I was living in Seaside California, we had the life: nice house, near the beach, beautiful areas to live, nice people, and not so much crime but nowadays crime comes in every shape and form, color and size. but all you have to do is to remeber to thank God for all he's done for you and your life will be complete.

Best; TULARE,CA. Nice neighbors, caring people, rent reasonable, markets close to my house. Nice place to live.
Worst: HINCKLY, Ca. In the desert. We only lived there for a month, but my (now grown) children speak of it like we were in hell for 10 years. Unbearably hot, everybody looks like they are 20 years older than they are. Barstow was the closest town, everything expensive. Route 66 isn't what it was cracked up to be.

Worst - Albuquerque,, New Mexico - too much crime & BS. Lived across from a park in a good neighborhood and my daughters found used condoms, syringes, etc. We were always catching people having sex, gang initiations (sexual acts), etc. Hated it.

Best place, Lombard, Illinois- great community!
