I did look it up, rĭth'əm, 2 syllables
Is the other vowel the "t", the "h", or the "m"?
How is this possible?
Are there any similar words with no vowel (a,e,i,o,u,y,w) in a syllable?

In the beginning of the year, my teacher was.... well, basically fired. So we were teacherless for about 1 month and then the school found another one. She started October 31. She's really young, 24. But the thing is... she has a Myspace. I'm sure it's not that big of a deal for some people - but it kinda is. At my school, it's pretty much forbidden (even though it still happens) and it's being hypocritical if my teacher has one but a student can't have one. She has inappropriate pictures of her all over the internet... But when my principal found out, she defended my teacher instead of us. She told us to stay out of her business and all that stupid crap. But it wouldn't be so hard for us to do that if all these things weren't practically plastered all over and in our faces. So... I'm wondering.... what should I do? Oh, and I forgot to mention that she looks hung over all the time. She's not a competent teacher and I don't think that she is enthusiastic about anything.

No, this is not for help with homework. I'm just composing a letter and I can decide which is better.

What do A and B have in common?

or

What does A and B have in common?

I'm inclined to think do is better in this question and with 'does' it would be rephrased "What does A have in common with B".

Any insight would be appreciated.

I'm having a huge brainfart. There's a word I can't think of, maybe you know it?
See, I'm writing a story, and I'm filling out a character questionaire to help organize my thoughts. So it's like,
Name:
Nickname, if any:
And then here, I want to expand on that and say how the person got their nickname. I'd just put that with the nickname, but I want to stay more organized. but I can't think of what to call that part. Like, (blank) of nickname, that means the same as Where this nickname comes from or whatever. I think it might start with an "R," but for the life of me, I can't remember the word.
Can you think of the word that I can't remember?

LOL, man is that one of the most common sayings. I just wanna know who ever came up with that saying and sience when did we start sayn it so much...

It's a nonsensical phrase. People, the correct way is "I couldn't care less". "I could care less" implies that there is room left for you to not care, which renders the idiom useless. Sadly, "I could care less" is more common. It's quite pathetic actually.

Here are some examples. If someone posts a question about ANY race and use the word some, why is it that somebody always end up saying the asker is labeling that race when he or her obviously used the word some? I mean...are they doing it on purpose or what?

Like to read the New Year's Poem for all of you?

Happy New Year! Time will tell...
~~
What lies ahead. Come toll the bell
. ~~
Kiss your love. Erase all doubt...
~~
Sing Auld Lang Syne, toss your troubles out.
~~
Make resolutions. Don't let them fold.
~~
Pray for peace. In with the new, out with the old!
~~
Happy New Year! As the bell does call.
~~
Ringing in, renewed hope for all.

Love and God bless you all! May the New Year be all you hope it to be and more... :-)
