Why do so many people still not know the difference between ''you're'' and ''your''?

I hope this question does not sound rude, as I don't mean to cause offence, but if I had a penny for every time I've seen ''you're'' and ''your'' used wrongly, I'd be richer than Branson. The same applies to ''their'', ''there'', and ''they're''. I know a lot of people are dyslexic, which is fair enough. What's the problem for other people?

It seems to imply that a lot of people come out of our education systems without having been taught the most basic element of education, our language. This applies to both the UK and the USA. Should this be a cause for concern in both countries?

How does Spell Check deal with submissions such as this ? This is no exaggeration.

Surely 'The Team' at Yahoo Answers, who have penalised me in the past for what they considered to be offensive remarks, could protect us from this kind of ignorant language.

If the only way to avoid this is to avoid Yahoo Answers alltogether that would be a shame because a lot of us enjoy taking part.

If the general standard of the site is not improved then I for one will walk away. Am I alone in being concerned or do others agree ?
