band aid as in J & J's product that is known world wide...... what do you think of this product???? what is your experience when go to a chemist to buy a band aid????? do you get what u want or u ask for band aid n the chemist gives u hansaplast or some other band..... please put in your experiences..

Just a bandage. It doesn't matter to me the brand.

band aid is actually a medicated plaster strip from J & J's but people use it to refer to all other brands. when u ask for a band aid at the chemist , sometimes he may give u some other brand like hansaplast or dettol. it's because some brands become so popular that we use it to refer to same products from other brands. like in India most of the people use Surf to refer to all detergents and so on.

I specifically prefer J&J because, it sticks firmly. The other brand with a water
proof sub-catagoury does not stick well, covering the wound.Further J&J is
available in various shapes and sizes. As long as I remember, band-aid
means only that of Johnson&Johnson.
