When I was in elementary and middle school I was taught the "t" in "often" was silent. However, it seems that now both pronounciations are acceptable.

How did you learn to pronounce it?

Maybe it's just me, but in school we always spelled it "buisness" on the spellng tests and then one year the teacher said, "Nope, we're gonna do it like this now." And ever since then it was just "business" which I always thought looked really stupid. Anyone one else remember spelling it that way?

I was thinking about this actually, earlier today. Like, why aren't words just spelt the way they sound? But now that I've seen it, I hate it. I hope it never gets like that. It just makes everyone look more stupid and it would just be way to confusing.

Be creative and don't use the exact wording "Thanks for the points." See if you know different languages or synonyms. You can get extravagent, or keep it short and sweet. I just want to know how creative people can get in expressing a single phrase.
