Some obvious reasons:
They do not use spell check for accidental errors
They are in too big a hurry to communicate their messages to check spelling on their own--assuming they know how to spell most words in the first place.
In the past 20 years or so, education has been so "dumbed down" that I was able to get a 4.0 GPA in a graduate program, completing assignments along the caliber I was assigned as a high school freshman.
I know that what you are asking is related to spelling, but don't spelling, grammar, reading comprehension all tie in together? And have we been shortchanging our kids?

I think that the reason almost all the postings on here have spelling mistakes are because, ever since the invention of the spellchecker, people do not really have to know how to spell. Then they just forget to use the spellchecker!

Here, I can only Quote myself:
Excellent question! Unfortunately, this is the Internet. Here, the lowest common denominator bears it's grizzly visage. Sadly, the amount of stupidity and frighteningly poor grammar on "teh Intarweb" as they say in the vernacular, is staggering.
Parents are not getting involved as they should nowadays, so pidgen english, hacker leet speak, and IM abbreviations, which should be no more than innocent fun, are becoming nearly a mainstream form of communication.
The continued bastardization of English as a language is a tragedy, and I wish there was some way to fix it right now. Until parents all start doing what my parents did (brainwashing me to speak properly at all times), and pop-culture ceases to dismiss the importance of education (in favor of pretending to be a pimp "gansta"), this degeneration will likely continue unabated

The educational system in the United States is certainly subpar, but not all the of the questions posted here are from English-speaking countries. Others think it's cute to make people guess what they're trying to say, and others still are simply not that bright.
I've gained a great deal of legitimate information, however, from those with true expertise and higher IQ's.

It's the essence of the message that counts right? And the other thing is that we live in the spell-check era...nobody really cares about remembering real spelling anymore since they could use the spell-check if they really wanted to make their work presentable. At least that's what I think.

Because people are, basically, lazy and don't use spell check. Worse than that in modern day schooling spelling doesn't seem to be a priority anymore. The problem is that if you mis-spell a word it could change the whole context of what you are trying to convey. eg
'I think he is good.'
if including a simple mis-spelling becomes:-
'I think he is god.'
meaning something completely different.

Because they are too lazy to use spell check. Because they do not take any pride in their correct use of the English language. Because they think its cool. Because of the dumbing of America. Because they've been taught that spelling is not important as long as you get your idea across. Because they've yet to survive in the corporate world where spelling matters.

the spell check doesn't always pick up mistakes, I'm dyslexic but try hard to spell properly so i don't embarrass myself.
e.g if you write "wen" instead of "when" the spell check won't pick it up.
some words are spelt differently in America than they are in England.
this could also be a reason.
I'm sure not everyone is dyslexic.
