We learn everything about Joe Crowell, Jr. in one moment of time, through the narrator/stage manager. What happens to Joe and when reading it, how did you feel about that? How did the playwright want you to feel?

Death is a discordant beat among the celebration of beginnings of new life, in the beginning of this first act. Why does the playwright include it?

Do you think no scenery and pantomimed actions—the paperboy throwing imaginary newspapers, an imaginary horse delivering imaginary milk bottles, the children pretending to eat breakfast, act, or distract, from the play? Why was the play written this way?

Why is there no inter-personal conflict in this story? (Hint: Wilder is not interested in directing us to observe in-depth personal stories.) What is he directing us to observe?

I've heard it's Aberdeen as that has 34 places around the world but it seems a bit strange that it's not Victoria or something like that.

3 men go to a hotel. They share a room for $30 a nite. They each give $10 and go up to their room. The manager calls the bellhop over and says he charged the men too much for their room. He asks the bellhop to take 5 loonies up to the 3 men's room and give the $5 back to them. Bellhop goes up the men's room, knocks on the door and presents the men with the five loonies and tells the men they were charged too much for their room. The 3 men say "just give us each 1 loonie and you keep the other 2."
So,now what did each man pay for their room? 10-1=9...Each man paid $9...3x9=27...plus the Bellhop's $2 for a grand total of $29. What happened to the other $1??

The Track of land was to be used for a lumber camp for the township of Duxbury. It was purchased for under $30 worth of goods from the Massasoits (wampanaw) Indians. The track of land became Bridgewater and North, East and West Bridgewater.
North Bridgewater later became Brockton a city know for its shoe factorys which produce 4 out every 5 pairs of boots worn by Union soldiers during the civil war.
For 5 Points what was the Indian name for this track of Land?
