What is my joy if all hands, even the unclean, can reach into it?
What is my wisdom, if even the fools can dictate to me?
What is my freedom, if all creatures, even the botched and the impotent, are my masters?
What is my life, if I am but to bow, to agree and obey?
Ayn Rand-Anthem

My school yearbook is adding senior quotes and I don't know what to put. I shouldn't be something too cliche, but also something unique. Maybe something funny yet appropriate.

what's a good quote to use if you're examining a character who has no backbone and will help me connect it to this character in the story.

You know, the kind that typically go below your name on emails -- those are what I'm looking for. Actually, a friend of mine is looking for quotes like that to compile for a book he's writing, so I need who wrote it or said it as well. Attribution is necessary for publication & to get selected as Best Answer to my question.

In order for originals written by you to be published in the book, your real name is necessary -- so, if U prefer, U may use your handle or nickname here, & then send me an email with your quote & real name if U don't want to post it here, (I understand fully). U can email me off the link tied to my profile page, just be sure to include your quote & name together. Thanks!

OK, my favorite quote lately has been:

“Life is ‘good’ because God gave it to you.
Make the most of that talented gift & share
it with others every chance you get!”
--(I can't find the original quote/author & I adapted it to make it mine).

Now what's yours?
