I plan to study a master in UK. The course consists of eight modules of 1 to 2 weeks duration, which must be taken over a four year period. I will be living in my country and traveling when needed. Do you know if I need a student visa? anybody with experience about studying part-time?

I had found so many questions and answers on this yahoo "ask" and "answer" to be so unnecessary. I wish people would post only questions and answers that are really educational. Ones that will help others. Or those questions and answers that can really help us in one way or the other. What do you all think of some of these questions and answers? Please let me know if I am the only one that feels this way.

My child was tested at the Sylvan Learning Center and though she is at grade level at her school (going into the fifth) with the exception of comprehension & essay, Sylvan says she needs 4 hrs a week and 3 to 6 months with them to improve....
What is your experience with the Sylvan Learning Center.

It's hard to take a post seriously when simple words are rendered nearly unrecognizable. If you don't have enough interest in your message to proofread it, why should anyone else pay attention to it?

I have a problem. I excel in multiple fields including business, science, sociology, religion... with an above average understand of arts, though I have no artistic education. However, I am a gifted actress, I am business strategist... I advice people on everything from career to education to religion to Info Tech to entrepreneurship. I am in my mid-20's, and a plain vanilla MBA.

My education does not do justice to me; I want to learn more and do more. I am looking for alternative schools/institutions that provide a well-rounded education for a Renaissance woman.

One idea is go to a anthroposophical school, such as Goetheanum. Another is to join a Sufi school, if there is one with experiential education as I am not seeking to be a scholar (purely) but a human being.

Is there a school/instituion out there which caters to such needs? Or can you guide me to a source of info?

Seriosu answers only, please?

I don't know whats up with me but it seems like only in Math class, I never ask questions. I get shy and feel if I ask something so simple everyone will think I'm stupid. My sister always tells me never be afraid to ask questions. She aslo said, "sometimes you have the same question as someone else who is too afraid to ask" I'm naturally shy and not an expert in Math. I'm also thinking it might be because my Mom gets frustrated when I ask her questions when she is busy. My old math teacher could somehow read me and sense I didn't get something, but now I'm in high school and I shouldn't depend on that. What can I do? Do I need more Faith?

My husband was weeding this morning and ran into a yellow jacket nest in the ground. They seemed awfully small but stung him just the same. I was able to poison them and cover the hole with a large rock and don't see them any longer. Do they re-nest close to an old nest? We have a mole problem living in the woods with lots of mole holes. I read that they will use existing holes to nest so I have a great concern they won't go far to re-nest.
Does anyone know if this is the time of year, if they are starting to produce, to be so small?
We live in Western Washington.

With bullying, abuse and fear based subjects, in the second most important place of where we form our idea of the world, the first being the parents, what would you change? Do you believe in the curriculum as it is? Or do you think the most important life skills are lacking? Given free run of your imagination, going back to your childhood school years--what would you do?
