I plan to study a master in UK. The course consists of eight modules of 1 to 2 weeks duration, which must be taken over a four year period. I will be living in my country and traveling when needed. Do you know if I need a student visa? anybody with experience about studying part-time?

Click 'Do I need a Visa' on the website below. I think each of your visits will be treated as separate visits so you can select 'Student - six months or less' as your purpose of visit.

I think you will not need a visa. You will just need to be able to prove to an immigration officer that you are here to study. A letter from the university/college should suffice.
