Alder, Durwood, Ericson, Farley, Gladstone, and Hamble, whose first names are Bernice, Christian, Melissa, Nicholas, Peter, and Stuart, want to lose weight. Each one wants to lose a different amount than the others, and the least amount is 5 kg. Figure out how much weight each wants to lose, and match up the first & last names.

Bernice is 2 lose 5 kg more than Alder but 5 kg less than Stuart

Durwood is 2 lose 5 kg more than Christine but 2 kg less than Gladstone

Melissa is 2 lose 2 kg more than Nicholas but 3 kg less than Farley

Peter is 2 lose 2 kg less than Stuart and 3 kg more than Farley

Christine is not Hamble.

I'm writing a persuasive essay for english. I have to come up with a good argument and in the essay convince my readers to agree with me.

And i was wondering if any of you have some good ideas i could use. Maybe give me an example of something you feel strongly about and could agrue and why. I'm currently in highschool so what would be some issues that would affect students/teens or staff in the highschool? Maybe some issues going on in the world today (things in the news or the war in iraq).

I just need some good ideass! Thanks everyonee

Alright. I have to do a 5 paragraph on the Swastika.
How does this sound so far? All suggestions are apperciated!

The word Swastika comes from the Sanskirt word meaning "to be." This symbol represented positive things such as sun, power, strengh, and 3,000 years ago, even good luck. The Swastika also was used as decoration for postcards, coins, and buildings. Coins found that date to 1,000 BCE show that the Swastika was a commonly used symbol. Many different cultures used the Swastika, and almost every culture had a different name for it. It wasn't until 1920 that the Swastika was a sign of hate, death, and violence.

In 1920 Adolf Hitler thought that the Nazi Party needed it's own new flag. Hitler chose the Swastika as the new flag because he wanted something that people we're already familiar with. Soon, the meaning of the Swastika changed from behing positive to being all about violence, death, and hate.
