Whats something you feel very strongly about that you could turn into a good argument? I need some ideas..<

I'm writing a persuasive essay for english. I have to come up with a good argument and in the essay convince my readers to agree with me.

And i was wondering if any of you have some good ideas i could use. Maybe give me an example of something you feel strongly about and could agrue and why. I'm currently in highschool so what would be some issues that would affect students/teens or staff in the highschool? Maybe some issues going on in the world today (things in the news or the war in iraq).

right now, here are issues that are being tossed around in many state legislatures regarding education...

Would it be bettter to teach boys and girls separately?
Would year round school be better for all students?
Are mandatory school uniforms helping all students?
Should vending machines be banned from schools?
What changes should be made to school cafeteria menus that would reduce obesity and promote more healthy eating habits?
Are field trips really necessary?
Should PE be mandatory for all students?

Hi! One thing I feel very strongly about is abortion (free choice) vs
not having a choice and being forced to keep a baby or give it up for adoption. I don't know how you stand on this issue but it might be worth checking into!
Another topic you might want to explore is the right wing (Republicans) and left wing (Democrats). Republicans usually represent big money, and how businesses can keep it for themselves, vs Democrats who usually want to help all Americans, and are predominatly interested in social issues, fairness in business (such as wages, benefits, working conditions etc) helping the less fortunate and generally being honest.
One more thing and I'm done! Check into the treatment of the prisoners at Abu Graibe in Iraq. If you get a chance to see a documentary by Rory Kennedy (Bobby Kennedy's child that his wife was carrying when he was assinated by Sirhan Sirhan). It is very eye opening and really lets one know what is really going on over there.

A female student who is a friend of yours is having an affair with a male staff member. You feel the staff member pressured your friend. Do you report the affair and risk losing your friend's friendship even though you feel it is in her best interest? Do you value her welfare above all else making you truly a good friend?

First I am not racist. But why do blacks have a special college fund? UNCF Why do they have special rights advocates? NAACP Martin Luther King Day, Black History Month, BET ( if white people had WET (white entertainment television) well enough said. One more thing, why can white people only be called racist? I think there are a lot of arguments to be debated here. Why can't white people have these same things?
