....the load... meaning the electrical component that the electricty is powering. a load could be a light bulb, so the electricity is being transformed to light, or a load could be a heater, so it is transformed into heat or a load could be a motor so it would be transformed into mechanical energy

Well..
your question needs a bit more info I think....

As it stands... best I can give you is...

1--Electromagnetic energy
(Sending the electricity through a coil to make a magnetic field surround it.)

[Electricity can be generated by rotating magnets affecting coils &/or wires ...there's a symbiosis here...]

2--Heat energy
(A resistor or coil designed to create heat from the electricity...[Basis for many space heaters which create more heat than light.] )

3--Light energy
(Typically in an incandescent light bulb...a resistor designed to create more light than heat..but still creates heat as a by product.)

That's pretty general but without knowing more about what you need... best I can do without going into LONG winded explanations....

Take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical
the box on the right of the webpage should help you some more too....

If you add comments to your question with more details...I promise to update my question ASAP.

hope I helped.
