You don't need a large spaces to play safely. you don't need heavy padding. Sqiurrels don't choke on the shells. Lawn mowers throw them pretty far for more added excitement when the game is done. They are easy to pack up and carry. Your clothes don't smell like eggwhen your done playing.

i hate to say it (being an airsofter myself) but you can't win the argument. it's just like debating music. everyone has their own taste.

airsoft is widely regarded as cheaper (30 dollars of bb's will last months. 30 dollars in paintballs will last hours at best) it's safer (bb's rarely break skin at anything other than point blank), the firearms and outfits are more realistic. (you see m16's and ak 47's not just markers and you're not bright freaking neon colors in airsoft gear) but unfortunatly paintball is far more popular (mostly in the us. airsoft is big in europe and new zealand and such), airsoft requires waaay more people than paintball to play well and it requires a larger area.

personality wise airsofters are usually more mature. most of us are older and more responsible while your stereotypical paintballer is you'r classic teenage punk with an attitude. are there exceptions? ofcourse but that's the way it falls because airsoft has a bigger military following.

also airsoft hurts *less*. paintballers like to say it doesn't hurt. come say that to my 550 fps ICS m16. it hurts. it's just got less mass so it hurts less than a paintball gun.

closing statement. arguing between the two is stupid because you can't change the other sides mind. they both have plus sides it just depends what youre into. if you like being realistic and having a larger variation in guns go airsoft. if you like a popular sport that's easier to get a group together and just want to have fun play paintball (airsoft can be played just for fun too but it takes alot of people... as in 10+ and let's face it we're not that popular yet)

i hope that helps ya out

airsoft dont make mess. (except the bbs, but no paint on you)

airsoft guns looks real so gives you more real combat like experiance.

BBs are alot cheaper than the paint bullets. meaning economical for you.
