it says. For each of the following values of b in an equation of the form y=a.b, . Determine the growth rate per time period. they are 1.2 , 2.4 , 1.07 , 1+0.33, 1.259. 1.002.

I know that b is 1+ percent growth. and i also know that the answer for 1.2 is 20% and the answer for 1.002 is 2%. My teacher told us that..but im still not sure how to do it. help would be really appreciated!

okay. so i'm in APUSH (AP U.S. History) and we have a DBQ (Document Based Question) Exam tomorrow. it's a practice test and the question has been given to us in advance. the whole point of it is is to come up with a reasonable thesis that answers this question:

To what extent was the new "Manifest Destiny" of the 1890s and early 1900s a continuation of the old "Manifest Destiny" of the 1840s?


i'm hoping that if there's any good english students or something to help me out with my thesis :]

here's my thesis:
As cultures with different religoins and customs were diffused into American society, public religious strength weakened. People's views of Manifest Destiny changed radically, from believing to have been "destined" to expand across the nation to a slightly more materialistic, self-induced need to conquer the world.

I have to calculate the amount of money I will earn/lose at the given rate over the given time.

a) You spend $20,000 on a new car, which will depreciate at a rate of 7.5% per year over the next ten years.

b) You pay off your credit cards with the $20,000, which charge 7.5% interest compounded monthly, assume it takes 10 years to pay them off.

I have to write an essay on countries that brought animals to their country to make things better like when australia brought rabbits in to feed the dingo's or the coyotes but it ended up makeing things worse because the rabbits overpopulated and ate all the grass.
