I'm having problems with these certain problems.
I have to figure it out by "completing the square"
x^2+4x-9=0

x^2+4x-9=0
or, x^2+4x +4-13=0
or, (x+2)^2-(sqrt(13))^2=0
or, (x+2-sqrt(13))*((x+2+sqrt(13))=0
therefore either,
x=sqrt(13)-2
or
x=-(2+sqrt(13))

well, you have to factor it. um.... wait, i don't think you can factor it. i just tried it, and it doesn't work. sorry, i tried at least... try ajkids.com..
