instead of thinking of it in terms of roots, think of the roots like variables:

is
-5x+10y
the same as
5x-10y?
substitue values for x and y:

is -25+50 (25) equal to
25-50 (-25)?
nope.

I'm assuming the -5 is right before the sqrt6? Let's call 5 sqrt6 a and sqrt 10 b.

Would you say that -a+b is the same as a-b? Of course not.

No, but you are on the right track. You need to pull out a negative, not just switch signs. It will look like.........

-(5 sq rt 6 - sq rt 10)
