the word rise is usually associated with going up. Sometiems going from one point on the graph does not invelve in rise and a run but a fall and a run. Describe how you could select points so that it is always a rise from the first point to the second point?

I've tried tutoring kids online before, and it's gone badly.

Not because of me-- I put hours of work into it, but the kids I tutor eventually show me their pictures and ask if they're hot, or find out I'm Jewish and tell me that they hope Hitler burns me.

Is there anyone out there who will NOT do these things, and really wants to LEARN?

I'd love to tutor in Math, Science, English, or Spanish. I'm in the 10th grade, so I can teach anyone at that level or below. I got As last year and I have been this year so far too, and I take four honors classes in a competitive school...

i need to find a little list of cheers for my homework because for my scripture class, i need to write a cheer representing the message conveyed by Habakkuk in 2:1-20...i need to look at some basic cheers and see if i can do some word substitution and paraphrasing!!! thanks!

Could anyone help me know why the simplification of the expression 2 + 3(2x + 4) shown below is incorrect?? and if it is incorrect, what is the correct simplification??

Why is this Incorrect?

2 + 3(2x + x) = 5(2x + 4)
= 10x + 20

and if it is correct.. WHY it is correct?

alright i have this math problem..well i have several.

the ask to fine the equation for the slope and y-intercept that is given.

can someone please help me with this one problem and explain what to do?

the problem states "Write an equation for the line with the slope 2 that passes through the point (4, 12).

I get that 2 is the slope and the x part of the equation but I dont understand what to do with (4,12) and how to get the y-intercept. please help and explain.

the project: will a chicken bone dissolve quicker with plain vinagar or with baking soda added (pretty much the vinagar dissolving chicken boine and making it rubbery,only one of the 2 bones have baking soda added)

I have a bunch of physical science homework that I didnt do last semester so I have to do it now and I dont know any of the math portions so I could really use some help:

A hyraulic lift chair has its seat attached to a piston with an area of 11.2cm(2) yada yada yada the other piston exerts with an area of 4.12 cm(2) person on chair exerts downward force of 219 N what force needs to be exerted on the small piston to ;ift the seat.

7468 list on large piston, wit an area of 28.27cm(2), how much force must be exerted on small piston if it has an area of 1.325cm(2)?

i get bored and distracted while doing my homework and my dad wont let me listen to music while i do it but he finally let me listen to music only if it doesnt have any words. ive heared classical is good, is there any other types to give me more of a variety?

also, i like electronica type stuff do you think that kind would work too?
