Homework Help - September 2006

[Selected]: All categories Education & Reference Homework Help

I have this one homework problem that I think I've gotten the answer to. It's solving a 3-variable problem using Cramer's Rule. The equation is:
x+y+z=6
2x+y-4z=-15
5x-3y+z=-10

My answer was (-1,3,4). Can anyone help me verify this? I'll add the steps I took to solve it below. See if you can find any errors. My teacher requires that we show our work, and I want to make sure that it's correct in its methodology.

Hello. I am a 7th grader and I just started going to a college prep school. Man, it is really challenging! I wanna talk about how bad history is, but I've gotta stick with the topic. My teacher asked us to write a rough draft of an essay. The topic was "What it means to be 12". I turned in the draft yesterday and got peers to edit my paper, and as I was reading my friends' papers, I realized that they had interesting first and last paragraphs. I am particularly weak in this area, so can you help me? And by the way, I my essay was about my life, family, friends, interests, and feelings. It's sort of like an autobiography, but I didn't talk much about basic facts (birth, height, etc.)

Do High School Freshman really get bullied?
By: Katelyn Josey
You walk into the front door. There are a lot of people staring at you as you walk the halls. It’s not because you’re pretty or popular, but because you’re a freshman.
At least, that’s what some people think of high school. Really its just all talk, no action, and its all just stereotypes as WIHS freshman Holly Berthy said, “I’ve never really seen anybody get put in a trashcan.” Are the first few days at high school really that bad? SHS freshman Sara Fox said “No, you’ve gotten to know everybody in middle school.”
You also hear rumors about how bad upperclassman can be but in real life they’re not bullies. Middles school actually has more violence and bullies! “People actually mature in high school,” Freshman Melody Gill said. “People say that only the freshman get beat up and bullied but I don’t see why. Everyone else in that school was a freshman at one time too!
