I need help on how to make a graph on time and distance. Speed doesn't need to be in the graph, right?
I am really confused. We calculated the speed at which a wind up toy could go 1 meter, and now we have to make a graph.
any help?

Distance is on the y-axis AKA vertical axis...
Time is on the x-axis AKA horizontal axis...

Distance / Time = Speed, so make your title according to whatever you're graphing...

Plot the points (4,3) <--- Example

You go to the right 4 spaces...
You go up 3 spaces...

You always have to do it in this order.

Hullo. Read what you wrote:

"We calculated the speed at which a wind up toy could go 1 meter, and now we have to make a graph"

the speed, v, compared to the distance, d.

Hullo?

Put distance on one vertex, and speed or velocity on the other. You want to compare "how much time" per unit of distance.

Can I hear an "amen?"

Is it not that speed is calculated as miles per hour so on one side of the L shape graph you have distance , on the other you have Miles per hour hence giving you time and speed on one side and distance on the other. Or metres per second , everything is relative. The distance covered on one side and the speed and time on the other

place time on x-axis and distance on the y- axis. both the distance and the speed are a function of speed, since speed equals distance divided by time (s=d/t).
