Higher Education (University +) - October 2006

I'm one of those peeople who really desperately wants to gt into the top university. I get good grades (mostly A's), and I would love to be accepted to Oxford. However, I'm finding it rather hard to get the criteria on that. Cold someone who's actually attentended Oxford give me some pointers?

Is there anything I can do in highschool to help and what about after highschool? I read on a website that you have to take 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school, and 3 years of training where you will get paid, but not as much. Is that true? I know the work will be challenging but will I still have time to have a life?

How many people can say they wasted thier time since they ended up in a low paying job forever ? I think it has been a waste of time and money for me. The debt is huge over 40 grand for me and I can honestly say that I regret going and that it was a waste of time money and effort since now I am looking at the same type of employment that I did before I went and borrowed all that money. The high paying jobs just did not pan out no matter how much I applied or tried for them. Who can admit that they wasted their time and money ? When I was in my early 20's before I went I had a nice car and a tidy sum saved in the bank. Now I have nothing saved and just pay the bank and credit card companies thousands a year in payments on principal and accrued interest. The interest is a killer expecially when you dont get those 'university jobs' etc
The high paying ' professional ' jobs that you think you will get by going to school all those years. Getting thoes loans wrecked my life.

We are friends and have been for 2 years - more like office friends. I recently left his company and he hooked me up with a consultanting job with his friend's company. I currently hold an associte in business management and a bachlors in organizational communications, however I wish I would of gone into the medical field. I passed my pre-entrance exam for the nursing program at my school but cant decide to either do the one year LPN (licensed practical nurse) Or the two year RN (registered nurse) I'd like to know the pros and cons of both. I'm 18 and in April/May of 2007 I'll have an Associates degree if I stay in school a little longer in December 2008 I'll have a Bachelors degree in Health Care Management. I'll only be 20 and I'm trying to get all this school out the way now. What kinds of Masters degrees can I get? Is there anything higher than a Masters that I can earn in this field?
