what is undergrad school, grad school, and all those things?

when i was trying to find out what i needed to do after highschool, all of these different things kept appearing in my research.

Undergrad is the next step after high school. In the U.S., you can get a two year degree (associates) or a four-year degree (bachelors).

Community colleges offer the associates, then you can transfer to a four-year college if you want to keep going, or you can start out at a four year college or university.

Graduate school is after a four-year degree. It most commonly results in a masters or docorate.

At this point, stick to searching for undergraduate, it's too early to worry about graduate school.

Undergrad school is for kids finished with H.S. and going into college for the first time either fresh out of H.S. or transferring from a communtiy college or 2 year college and have no degree. Grad School is for people who have obtained a degree in their particular study and have come back to get another degree or further their education in their major field. If you are fresh out of H.S. you are an undergrad freshmen if you have already attended a community college then you may choose to transfer. It is totally up to you on how you go about doing it.

Undergrad is basically just regular college. Grad school can be anything from your masters degree to a PHD.
