i want to go to University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, but I dont know which is better, having easy classes and high GPA, or hard classes with a lower GPA?

I am a sophomore, and I went with a lot of honors courses, and I'm not doing so well right now. Will that kill the chances of me getting into this university? I probably have a 3.2 or 3.3 right now.

I have not started homeschooling my children (they are 5 months and the other will be 2 on Thursday) but I am thinking really hard about it and have gathered lots of information and free homeschooling ideas off the interent.
