Hasty generalization.
One of my best friends believe that all pretty women are haughty because when he asked out to hot girls, he was turned down every times, or he was dumped when he was out of money. As he was betrayed so many times, he got the hump quite a while, and he spat out some swearing to them. Ever since that affair, he got a bad respect regarding pretty women. He refused to have a blind date with sexy girl even though I extremely recommend. He think that all of the sexy girls are crazed about just money, and they only want to go out with a handsome guy or a rich man. For that reason, he has a negative mind, and he doesn't want to go out with sexy girls anymore. In addition, he regards all the pretty woman as a pointed head. I have had a lot of arguments concerning that, but I think most of the sexy women are both pretty and smart. Anyone shouldn't be judged by their appearance. I have seen many of both kind and pretty woman. Not all pretty women are bad.

'Any species capable of producing, at this earliest, juvenile stage of its development - almost instantly after emerging on the earth by an evolutionary standard - the music of Bach, cannot be all bad.'

Please help me paraphrase the sentence, especially 'the music of Bach', I do not understand why it mentions 'music'? Thanks a lot!

Why do you think?! I've been homeschooled since 3rd grade (I skipped second cuz all the work was way too easy) but last year I went to public school. Everyone who found out that I was homeschooled was like "really?!" They never would have guessed it had I not told them. Unless they guessed by my 4.0 GPA and the fact that I'm a Christian. but there were a ton of other people just like me at school who had gone to public school siunce prekindergarten.

So what's the deal? How can people judge homeschooler's like all of them are alike? Is it because we spend more time around our parents? I don't. After school (which my mom just supervises, I pretty much teach myself) I'm out at classes, working, Junior Achievement, with friends, singing somewhere, shopping....everything. I probably spend more time out places than people who go to public school, because I only spend 3.5 hours on school every day and not 6 plus hours in a classroom.

WHY the stereotype?

English is not my mothertongue. but I'm student of electronics engg. in english medium.

Now I'm writing print. but I want to know is it ok for me when I become graduated? Isn't it like kids! Is cursive handwriting more classy? Right now I searched for different handwritings, most famous people (einstein, clinton, etc) were writing cursive.

Should I change my handwriting to cursive or not?

Thanks

My 13 year old nephew has moved in with my parents next door to me. He's a wonderful child who has not had a healthy role model. He was in many fights in school and is below his level in academics. He does NOT do well in public schools at all! It's due to the way my sister raised him. But, now he is here (next door) and we (my mother and I) have decided to both home school him. My mom ordered all the materials and I will be teaching him Math, Computer Skills, Typing and Reading. Yesterday was a very difficult day. It was our first day with Math. He is definately behind but I was positive through the whole experience. It took him 3 hours to understand the Periods of a number. You know... ones, tens, hundreds, thousands, ten thousands, etc. At this rate we are not going to get through the material to keep him on track. I've taught adults to read in the past and have trained many adults for work purposes. But, this is new to me. Can anyone please help me with teaching skills
