Okay I had a 3.8 gpa during highschool and a 4.0 during Junior College, where I got my associates degree. Then I went on to a four year college and everything was good for the first semester, A's and B's. But then we had 6 deaths in my family with in a 3 month period of time and I became extremely depressed and developed a health problem(due to stress) I stopped going to my classes and for one year I failed ALL but two of my classes. Since then I decided that I was wasting my money and I needed to take some time off from college. So I am currently taking a year off.... but I want to apply soon to a school closer to home and I am afraid they will not except me because my gpa is now 2.5. Has this happened to any of you....or anyone you know? Were you/they able to get back into college? And do you think I should write some sort of letter with my admissions applications explaining to them my situation? Or will they just think I am making excuses for myself? Please Help Me. Thankyou
