I know that lately we've been stopping and grabbing take-out a lot more often than we used to because of time constraints. Anyone else have this?

I have a restaurant and my partner wants to price a bowl of chili @ $ 3.75, I think that's too high. Does anyone know what's an average, fair price?

I am a server, and at my restaurant the occasional survey will print up on a guests check. The call in type that turnes into a coupon after you complete the survey.

This is a really big thing for the chain I work for. When one is printed, the manager on duty is required to walk it to the table and explain it to the guest. And with our surveys, we strive to get all 5's (which is the highest score possible). Otherwise, we've basically failed the survey.

We have been failing in one specific area - making the guest feel special. So, what makes you feel special? (when dining out)

This is beyond getting a server who is friendly and speedy. Getting good food. A clean establishment. All of these things are already addressed on the survey, while feeling special a whole different question.

I'm looking for things to use and do.

the food I am served. Sure the places are very nice and the waiter is very helpful, but the food is usually not as good as at Long John Silvers or Burger King! What is wrong with me! Have any of you also had this experience?

I am a barista and am trying to come up with creative holliday sayings to put on the tip jar at my coffee shop. Things like... "let your tips fall here"...for the fall season. I thought that asking here seems sensible. Thanks for any and all answers:)
