i am goin to open a website of news,blogs,communities,E-mail,web messenger,matrimonial,online buying and selling,file storing etc. so i need minimum 5gb of webspace and minimum 500 gb of database.
i am expecting around 2,00,000 members will login into my website. i dont know where to take web hosting. and also i want the meaning of what is shared and dedicated hosting. thanks in advance.

we learned SQL for our database management systems class but when i go through the jobs most of them need SQL server

how different or how similar they are and should I start learning sql server as well

i am trying to learn ASP, and i am typing all my codes in dreamweaver 8.. when i try to view the pages in firefox, i can't realy see anything., the pages that i view downloads back to the desktop.so do i need a server to view the pages???

I want to do a program that checks the answer of a question. For example:

string ans1;

cout << "How do you spell dog?\n";
getline(cin, ans1);

if(ans1==dog)
{
cout << "correct\n";
}

when I do this program (with other required parts included)
I get errors saying that I need to identify dog, but if I do it skips over the if statement and ends the program

I created a graphic with the hexadecimal color, #6699CC in illustrator. I then converted it into a jpeg to use in dreamweaver. I then used it in my web page, where on the CSS page I made the Background color #6699CC. In safari they don't match up at all. In Firefox, they look really close together, but are still off. How do I fix it?

I have a website for my charity and it needs to be updated with news stories etc now and then. My friend did it for me before but has recently had a baby so can't do it anymore.

I have never done it before but will need to take over-what is the easiest way for a novice webmaster? I don't want to start from scratch-I need a programme which I can use without changing anything already on the site. I need to add text and photos.

I have this div layout on my space but the place where it says no photo i need to place with my own picture and the designer even gave a code of how to do it. I have the code of the pic i wanna put from imageshack but the combination: doesnt work! I placed my imageshack code where it says "your image url here" and i took all the slashes away but it still doesnt work, help?

Hi,
I have a "IF" statement that does the following
=IF(L2=C2,B2,IF(L2=C3,B3,IF(L2=C4,B4,.......... - I cannot use this formula because I have more than 64 nested values
So, If I type a particular text in Column L, Col F should fill up with the corresponding value - from the info range given in Col B.
In other words, if I type a name of a County in a column, the previous column on left should fill up with the name of the State in which it is found - from the range of States I have in a different column.

If this question makes sense to anyone, please respond - it could either be a "If" statement or "Macro".
Only problem is, I have more than 64 nested if's - so if you can find another function or make relevant suggestions, that would be great.

Pleas, I did register for a domain, but I my first language isn't English. Then I'd like to ask what do you think about this domain name www.diddone.com, the sound is good?.. It is for a metasearch, I use the words Did and Done to be easy to remember. What do you think?
