how exactly do you servers work?? i mean websites buy servers so their downloads would go faster right?? how do they crash?? then do you buy them from web host??? can some please tell me which servers are good

created an interface called rodents :
interface Rodents

}
i ve created another class which implement this rodent interface:
class Mouse implements Rodents
{
public void eat()
{
System.out.println("I eat fast");
}
}
class Gerbil implements Rodents
{
public void eat()
{
System.out.println("I eat at an average rate");
}
}
class Hamster implements Rodents
{
public void eat()
{
System.out.println("I eat at an average rate");
}
}

class RodentTest
{
public static void main(String args[])
{
Mouse m=new Mouse();
Gerbil g=new Gerbil();
Hamster h=new Hamster();
Rodents rodents;
rodents=m;
System.out.println(m.eat());
rodents=g;
System.out.println(g.eat());
rodents=h;
System.out.println(h.eat());
}
}

i get an error like this when i compile the above program:
void type not allowed here System.out.println(m.eat()).
Similar error for g.eat() and h.eat().
Where have i gone wrong? Could any1 help me.

At this moment it's not yet a real website, but more of a website design idea. I have upload a image with 2 lengths of the same website (10px or 5px). Which one is better looking number 1 or number 2?

I'm creating this website and I would like it done i a way that, when a visitor encounters an error, maybe a page that doesn't exist, or an invalid link, the visitor sees a page that I created explaining the possible errors Instead of the normal "The Page Cannot Be Found" that most windows users are thoroughly accustomed to.

I've been looking off and on for the past couple of months for an easy-to-use blog importer or script that I can either have people link to so that they can publish my blog on their own sites, or a script I can post that people can copy and paste on their own sites that will import my blog. I like the functionality of the blog import feature on Facebook.com, but I've had trouble in the past trying to figure out how to install and configure scripts that require some knowledge of PHP, ASP, etc., so the easier this would be to install, the better. Any suggestions?

Don't laugh, but I'm actually trying to make a decent MySpace profile. Unfortunately, no one there knows diddly about HTML or CSS.

I have a big desktop screen, and I'd like for my background image to stretch to fit my window automatically... without making the image too big on smaller desktops. I think the term is "scalable image", but I'm not quite sure how to work it properly.

I do not want to just resize the pixels to a fixed measurement. I'd like the image to stretch to fit the window, no matter what size the window is.

Can someone help me, or is this impossible?

How do I display either html or javascript code in yahoo answers?

For ex. If I do something like ->
document.getElementById('bleh').something
it trims the end of the code with "..." so it does not display as I intended it to be.
