I have a Microsoft access database that has 13,000 user records. Each user is is assigned an Org_Number that looks like the following (I.E. 0000_0001, 0000_0002, etc...). In some cases there is only one person with that org_number and they are given the label A. If there are multiple people in an org_number I have to look at their assigned access. If anyone one of those users has different access then the rest the whole group also is labeled B. If the whole group has the same access then they are given the label A. Each users access is held on a seperate table in access. My question is besides going line by line thru 13,000 records what other ways could I process these users and get them labeled? (I.E. Queries, Tables, Forms)???

The description of the script I need is the following...
It is a script that will show a specified page, in the page you are currently on, which the script has been placed.

E.G.: I have a page that I will call 'point a' and i set the script on it. The script will open the page that I want, which I will call 'point b'...
so when someone opens the page 'point a', the area the script is placed, you will see a defined sized area with page 'point b' showing.

anyone know a working version of the script?

My company has asked me to take over managing the website, and I've been streamlining the page and cleaning up the code and such. I'm no HTML guru, but I do the coding myself rather than using FrontPage. My boss has asked me to put a counter on the homepage, but all the searching I've done for information on how to add a counter has just resulted in websites that have "free" counters that are tracked on their page. I want to have control over the counter myself and don't really want another website monitoring our usage and possibly creating pop-up windows in the background. A text counter would be fine, if I could just make a .txt file that has a raw number in it, and some javascript that adds 1 to it and displays the number on the page. Unfortunately I don't have a clue how to actually do that since I know nothing about writing scripts myself. Any suggestions where to look?

I am designing a website http://www.writingmod.com and am having some problems with characters appearing as little squares instead of what they should be.

I located a chart of HTML (ASCII) codes and tried to use them, but they do not show correctly in the browser, e.g., the copyright symbol appears as a heart or a question mark. I like to use m-dashes in my text and I can't even find a code for it.

We can certainly program a degree of artificial intelligence.
We can program responsiveness. An intelligent choice between desirable and undesirable choices based on experience. {Go near baby, result tipped over, avoid baby}
We can even add in randomness (ie program occasionally is makes random response based a on clock time random number generator)

...but can we create a program with "freewill"?

(in the baby example the program type I imagine you still has an original instruction that set the value of being tipped as bad)

If I have a date given in one field and a static sales target for every month of an equal amount let’s say 1000 - how can I multiply the sales target figure with the number of the month in the current year.

Example: the date is 23/03/07 sales target is 1000 every month
I want to the cumulative sales target to show 3000 (March = 3)x1000, for June it would be 6000 (June = 6)x1000.

Does anyone know the syntax on how to turn the month reflected within a date and turn it into an integer (from 1-12) that can be used in such a calculation as above?
It should be agnostic of the year (i.e. January in the following year should be a 1 again, not month 13). The calculation should be done in the cell, not a macro.
