Everyone says dreamweaver is the best web-design software and it probably is but it is designed for professionals that already know how to design and is cluttered up all to heck.

I want a program that is clean, simple for beginners, and is fun to use, not frustrating, but is also powerful enough to do reasonably sophisticated things.

Xara seems to be close but it isn't really web-design software. Help me find the perfect program! Price is not an issue. Thanks.

I'm designing a small game which doesn't involve many scenes but involves a lot of interactivity. What I'm looking for is a script that will allow me to click on ..say a colour, and allow me to drag it over an unrendered object, then release it over that particular object and fill it up with colour. If it is the wrong colour, I want my character to nod his head in disapproval and then the colour in that object disappears (all from a single click).
Any helpful info would be grateful.

Hi, ive made a program that automatically uploads files and sends it to a free FTP host i found. Now everything runs very smoothly. It all works fine except for one minor but MAJOR problem.

The entire program's idea revolves around multiple access to one username and password, but two people cant connect and use the same account where the files are stored on at the same time...

How would i fix this? Should i contact the free file host and talk to them about removing this limitaion (if it is there fault) or what?

I want to develop a gallery where visitors can click and enable the video to play on the same page as opposed to opening up in a different window. I' don't have the capital for a service like feedroom. I do like the setup on flixter.com. i already know where I am going to host the actual video files. I just need to be able to work with loading the html codes.

I have tried to learn bourne shell scripting many times. Each time I try to write a script, I am unable to make the pseudocode for the script or logically think the steps for the script, and therefore, can't write it . My logical sense is not developed.

Is this possible?

For example, if I want to find out where www.google.com or www.wikipedia.com is hosted, can I do that? I want to find out where people are buying their webhosting services from. I'm sure a site like google have all their own servers, so maybe that's not a good example. How about www.snopes.com?

i need to set up a template. MS Frontpage used to have template designer on older versions. i cannot seem to find it anymore. I want to avoid MS frontpage at all costs. Basically, this is what I need. Let's say i have 10 tabs of tabs that link to other pages. in 2-3 weeks, I will have another 10, instead of editing every page and adding i want to know if there is a way of avoid editing each page and avoid frame and inframes coding... any guesses? Hi,
I have a need to collect all information ( web site, books) relates to how to write software that perform beam forming for an acoustic Hydrophone that consist of 6 elements. I am familiar with FIR filtering algorithm, but not beam forming. Anybody had done this before can give me some hint, such as name of good books, web sites or white papers on the internet ?
