How can I learn Unix shell scripting if I have difficulty developing the logic for a shell script?

I have tried to learn bourne shell scripting many times. Each time I try to write a script, I am unable to make the pseudocode for the script or logically think the steps for the script, and therefore, can't write it . My logical sense is not developed.
I need help or suggestions, or maybe a mentor or tutor?

Take a logic class or work on solving other puzzles. If you can't even write the pseudocode then you're going to have a really tough time later on.
