i need to set up a template. MS Frontpage used to have template designer on older versions. i cannot seem to find it anymore. I want to avoid MS frontpage at all costs. Basically, this is what I need. Let's say i have 10 tabs of tabs that link to other pages. in 2-3 weeks, I will have another 10, instead of editing every page and adding i want to know if there is a way of avoid editing each page and avoid frame and inframes coding... any guesses? Thanks a bunch

I am not hosting my site with Yahoo.. I have a design already drawn. i just need to figure out the way to set it up myself without any yahoo stuff

What you would need to do is find some way to load your "template" from another file, and actually have it written into the page. So you need to use something "server-side" -- Perl, PHP, Python, etc. Some sort of programming language.

Personally, I do it by hand. Perl (or something called a "server-side include") would be an acceptable option. PHP I think is better suited towards it.

For someone who can't do it by hand and probably doesn't want to learn (which is okay!) I would probably suggest Dreamweaver, although there are other options. As I'm not extremely familiar with Dreamweaver though, I couldn't point you at an easy menu option or anything.

Go to the website www.vicead.com and there just look for what ever product that would help you in this and it should work for you. It did for me. This site is new so everything is up to date. Try it.
