Does anyone know how to make it so that the HTML code shows up without actually taking that action that the HTML is for so that people can copy the code itself???

Write a program that asks the user to enter a float number within a range [1,5],inclusive of 1 and 5.If the user enters a value out of this range, prompt the user to re-enter until it is until this range.

I need to make a multi-page PDF to showcase my digital art portfolio (I also need to list the information for each piece on the same page, one work per page)... but I don't own Acrobat professional. All I have are slightly older versions of Adobe programs- Illustrator, Photoshop; and a few Macromedia programs. Is this possible from these programs and if so, how do I do it? Do any of you lovely people have links to tutorials? Or simple to follow advice? Thanks!

Some myspace profiles have one large picture on the screen with "see through" text boxes. They will have an outline around the boxes, but other than the words, you can see the background image all over the page. My page now has white showing behind the text boxes and you can only see the background on the sides. I have tried different backgrounds but don't know if there is a seperate code for the transparent box or if its part of the background.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have a background on my Myspace page, that I love. The only thing is, you can't really see my light, black letters. Is there a way to enter some kind of HTML code (or perhaps alter the one w/my background info) that would allow me to change the color, size & boldness of the letters on my page, that tell about me? If I could change the font type, that would be awesome too. But I'd at least like to get it so that my words are plainly legible, without someone having to highlight it, to read it. Any real help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!

I have over a thousand pictures on my website. There’s about 100 per a page. Creating all those html liks for the pictures to show up as a group is horrid. Is there any easier way I could do it instead of having a whole page of html image links and taking up so much time? Like maybe a php code?

I'm creating a web site and do not want people to be able to access my list of files on my web space i.e If they try to access a higher level (Say, the folder containing all my image files) to just look through them.

I know I can use a custom made 403 forbidden page but how do I get it to work as such?

I've done a bit of research and it seems that a htaccess file might be what I need, but even if it is I don't know how to create or implement it.

I would be really grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction. Thanks

I have tried a few on line companies who can track the e-mail's for me, but their design programs are very simplistic and don't wind up looking the same in a test e-mail. If I could design it in another "design" program and then somehow get it into an e-mailable form that would be great. I'm out of ideas! Please help!!!

I made a database application in Visual Basic sometime around 2002 on a machine running Windows 2000 and Office 97. I'm now on Windows XP with Office XP. It uses DAO (current ver 3.51) and Data Bound List Controls (current ver 6.0). I don't know which versions of these I used when I compiled it back in 2002. The compiled version works fine. But now when I recompile it with only cosmetic changes it doesn't work. When it updates a record, it puts the information in the wrong field! Is there some simple fix? Do I need to load earlier versions of something? Or can someone point me to a website that describes how to fix my application to work on WinXP with Office XP.

Hi! I'm trying to create a price calculator for custom-made picture frames to post on my website. I want users to be able to type in the length and the width into a table and then it displays the estimated price. There are three different frame thicknesses; 1.5" Narrow Barnwood, 2" Rustic Barnwood, and 3" Thick Barnwood, so a drop-down menu or something that would let users choose the design would be awesome. I came up with an equation that will do the trick.

First we find the square area of the frame by multiplying the perimeter (length+length+width+width) by the thickness of the frame (which will either be 1.5" 2" or 3"). Then we multiply the square area by either 0.27 if its 1.5" Thick, 0.23 if its 2" Thick, or 0.18 if its three inches thick. Then the calculator should add five dollars for a custom made fee.

So it is as follows: [2*(l+w) *Thickness] * 0.27 if its 1" Thick, 0.23 if its 2" and 0.18 if its 3" thick. Then $5 is added to the final price for a custom fee.
