I can open two ftp windows in Explorer and drag files from one to the other. I don't think it saves much time, though. The files still come through my computer on the way.

use the Web-based FTP client on the following websites(www.net2ftp.com, http://www.webftp.co.uk). When you are logged in there are open . Select the files you want to transfer from one FTP server to the other, then select the Copy option under the action under the Action Scroll at the top right. It will bring you a page with that will let you log into the other FTP site. That way it will be downloaded onto your machine.
