power supply is ok! i was wandering why it happens...before i go to CMOS its automatically shutdown..waht is the cause help me pls..?

I used to have this problem as well. I found that my RAM was not properly installed, and I believe that one RAM stick was also bad. So you may want to Check that. also check to make sure your on/off switch isn't stuck.

could be overheating CPU, bad memory, failing hard drive, failing video card, bad drivers, Windows corruption, etc...

I would start with the overheating problem. Remove the side panel and check all the fans for operation. Leave the cover off and try booting up. If that doesn't work, check to make sure your cpu heatsink is properly seated on the cpu.

try to boot from your windows cd and run a repair install.
Otherwise see the fans in the SMPS power supply and the fan above the processor. If any one of them is not functioning then you should replace it immediately

i got that same problem with my laptop, i think it is hardware problem which is the heat sink, hope this would solve your problem.
