I was a philosophy major, I can't help looking at the meta-question.

I would love to become a sort of on-line Dear Abby, and put enough completely honorable advertisers on my web page to support myself. At least, partly support myself; be semi-retired. But I need advice on how to set up a web page where I totally control what advertisers it has. Would I do the "share links" routine with people I do business with, and find honorable? How?

well,i am trying to make a program for a book shop ,
but i am unable to store the information of books permanently.
i.e i have used structure for storing it.but for every new run of the program i have to enter data .I know concept in c++ till classes and objects.suggest some way or give code in c++,to solve this problem.

I can go to the FTP area and hit connect, but it will not connect with my website. What am I doing wrong? It says, " No Connection." To further clarify, I need to bring the website back down to me so that I can edit it, it is no longer on my computer. Thanks in advance.

I need a website that allows for members to comment on pictures for free and members who have subscribed can upload pictures to be commented on. Is this something that I can do with Frontpage or Dreamweaver or should I look into the forum software like Vbulletin or is there something better? Would webhost have any problem hosting such a website?

I'm having problems running an *.exe that was built with Fox Pro. I'm using Windows XP (home edition). The program runs fine when using the run button from inside Fox Pro; however, after building the exe, when double clicking the helloWorld.exe icon, a window opens and closes and nothing happens. I'm having the same problem when using Fox Pro 9. Reinstalling didn't work. Any help appreciated.

it just seems that whenever i command my computer to do something it will stop doing it's job and nothing else it won't shutdown unexpectedly or anything like that it will just stop following orders how do i get it to stop
(without buying anything expensive) i have a hewlett-packard pavillion 6330 that originally ran on windows 98 and was updated to windows xp thats it.

This mesage pops up after i start the computer:

Now, I have tried each of these and none will work . Does anyone know
what I can do?

When i select an option, it just restarts after a black screen apears.

I force shut it by holding the startup button.
