I was wondering if any has stats or knows where to find stats on the percentage of people still using dial up to access the internet. the only stuff i can find is from 2005

I have a virus or something, not really sure. My computer will NOT stay connected to the internet somehow my Internet Explorer has dissappeared, I can not do a system restore and I am at my WITS end, does anyone know of a virus or worm that is doing this. I am on my friends PC because I have to find out what to do.. I am ashamed to admit I knew nothing about antivirus software before this and therefore have NEVER used it........So please help me any info would be etremely helpful... thanks

HELP!!! The icon in my system tray shows that my cable internet is connected and active, but when i try to bring up IE or AIM it does not recognize a connection. I have unplugged the modem, tried different ports on the USB cable. I defaulted to the original internet settings, firewall up and down, and nothing...I can't afford a new computer, but why won't it recognize the connection? I even tried the internet connection wizard...I have done all that I can think of to do...Any suggestions?

Whenever I sign in, a message pops up (something along the lines of 'connection not possibe' - sorry I forget exactly). I've now given the computer a complete clean and gone back to IE6. This has only been happening for the past month or so.

Well a year ago I joined a forum, and everything was going well, until I decided to leave, because I could not stand the owner anymore. BUT before all that happened, I sumbitted my photo, for a fan book for the doodlebops. (kid show). Now, its been 6 months, and I have asked her nicely to take off my pic, even my PARENTS asked, and she has not done it. She even has my pic on her myspace! I want my pic off, what can I do? and this message opens in internet explorer so when I click on "Ok. close these applications" the explorer closes and nothing happens and if I click on "cancel I will run this later" again nothing happens the normal google homepage opens.
My operating system is windows vista home premium. please help
