When someone sends you an email and the time on their email says EDT, does that mean he is sending it from the east coast? For example, I got an email today with the date of 2007 12:24:36 EDT, but the person who sent it to me claimed to be on the west coast when he sent it (EDT is east coast time). Is the person lying who sent the email, or is the EDT reflecting the time it is at the headquarters for the internet service located on the East Coast? The email was an AOL address.
