Internet - March 2007

I attempt at logging into windows live messenger (msn) and it says "Signing into windows live messenger failed because the server is temporary unavailable. Please try again later." What could be wrong? Is there anything I can do to fix this? I am getting really frustrated because I am supose to be online right now and it's not working. PLEASE HELP?

My sister's computer has the main internet connection in the house, the laptop i use and the computer in my mom's room run off wireless internet. Our internet is fine but my sister's doesn't work at all. It says 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage'. How can I fix this? Lately my sister's computer runs really slow as well, can that be affecting the internet connection?
