How to increase GPRS Internet speed for PC?

I am using Airtel mobile operator, I am using Samsung SGH-X700 mobile device.

I used Air tel through N 70 and it was good. even if it is not better. but once i switched to Sify thinging that it is , broad band, ( Fraud band ) as they and other service providers boast as if 256Kbs , 612 Kbs 2 Mb, ( now it is the turn of BSNL ) to tell so, but in reality it is dismal, where as GPRS we get around 5 to 17 , that is also with out break, no going up or going down, so be content with what you have had. Unless your setting is ok,. you could not get connected with the ISP , so there is no need for any more meddling with your settings.
