You cannot run Mozilla Firefox 2.0 on Win 98 and win 95 but the older version like 1.0 and all works with win 95 and 98 too
Firefox 2.0 works on on Windows XP :D

I'd go Firefox. And, either should work. Neither is the default browser that will fire up automagically with InternetExplorer still installed. You would have to change that by finding a web file on the computer, right-click and change the preferred program. And, you need to surf with whatever you downloaded browser to let it load Flash, java, mediaPlayer plug-ins. You know, like go to uTube... Then, mom won't have any problems.

Yes, I am using it right now. Works great and I like it better than Internet Explorer and Netscape. My DSL provider said it is a better deterrent to virus' than some of the others.
