I live in an area wher dsl is close but not availabe, the phone company (verizon) gives me no idea of when it is coming and there is no cable either. I play x box 360 online and satellite or wifi would not support this. Any suggestions?

Basically, my mom does work for my little sisters high school lacrosse team. One of the parents on the team, the one who created and hosts the website, threw a hissy fit and will no longer host the site. Before he brings it down, I want to make a mirror of the site and host it on my own domain. Anyway to easily do this?

I am currently with BT Yahoo for Broadband, but I want to change to another provider which is cheaper. I wanta provider that accepts direct debit instead of BT with a bill every 3 months. Who are you with and how much a month? Also I heard on the news today that changing broadband is now easier as the companies have to provide a mac address within 5 days istead of delaying, if I was to change my broadband provider how would I do this? Would I phone BT Yahoo and instead of just cancealing, ask them for a mac address also and just ring up another provider and gave them the mac address? Are there any price comparsion sites?

I dont want wireless as my PC is old (98/99) and please don't say get a new PC cause I can't be bothered it does what I want it to do I'm happy.

when i try to use internet explorer to get on the internet, it always freezes up and I get an error message at the top of the window that says "program not responding". Eventually I will have another window pop up that says "program is not responding" send this to Microsoft "Send Error" or " Don't Send". It makes it impossible for me to use the internet. Does anyone have the solution for this? Thanks
