Basically, my mom does work for my little sisters high school lacrosse team. One of the parents on the team, the one who created and hosts the website, threw a hissy fit and will no longer host the site. Before he brings it down, I want to make a mirror of the site and host it on my own domain. Anyway to easily do this?

I'm transferring my old website to a new host, but I don't have any facility to download from the old server and upload to the new one.

I am presuming that you've asked this chap for a copy and he's refused, so you're having to do it on the quiet.

I've found the easiest way to transfer pages, presuming you use IE and use Frontpage or similar, is to save all the pictures from the site, then go to "View" on the toolbar -> "Source". Select all of the HTML text, copy it to clipboard then paste it in to your web building programme. If necessary, paste the HTML code into a plain text file so that you can paste later. You may have to alter a couple of links, and reconnect the pictures to the new source, but this takes about 5 minutes per page. Upload as you normally would.

If you use something like Geocities page builder, there is a facility for entering your own HTML but its harder to update links etc this way.

I agree with Cardinal that viewing and copying the source of each file is probably the most straightforward way to 'mirror' the html site. You'll have to save the images as well, any .css files.

If you're using Firefox, you can use an extension/plug-in called 'Down them all' and e.g. if there are pictures and links, it will help to automate the process abit.

p/s: if you need more clarification, please feel free to email me. Hopefully Cardinal's answer will be sufficient to get you started.
