Can you rank the internet services from the faster to the slower?

I think T3 is the fastest, am i right? But what comes next? And i know modem is the slowest...

Whilst surfing the net someone plastered my PC with a Virus. My Internet Explorer 7 now has a permanent home page "telling me" that... my PC MAY have been infected and directing me to a website that, for a payment, will clear it. I Have PC-Tools and McAfee. PCTools seemed at first to have picked up the virus but it i still have int explorer 7 affected. I can use the PC and access Yahoo normally through Mozilla Firefox. I have scanned the PC using McAfee and also with PC Tools to no avail. I am trying not to have to re-install the OS (XP-Pro) so I am desperate for a solution. QUESTION: Internet Exp 7 infected is it a malicious *.dll ? Or a *.EXE hidden somewhere ? Where can it be found and therefore deleted ? I have uninstalled and then re-installed IE7 but the problem remains. Any help would be very much appreciated.

It is because of the Trojan virus. It becomes my default page instead of the normal msn.com web page. I wish to know how to clear this virus away so that I am back to the normal msn page when I log into internet explorer.

Well, U will soon no I no not much. A system restore. Please explain it and how 2 do 1. I've been told that's what I need 2 do. I'm just trying 2 elimate a thing on my screen that so far is un deliteable. U can change wall paper but it stays. now U want 2 no what it is, Doesen't matter. It's a picture i clicked on and told my computer 2 "Set AS Background" instead of save to my pictures. O well How can I get rid of it. This half naked girl, laying on her belly, not evan a girl, she is a creation, a drawing, bucking up and down is not still pleasing + i thought it was funny @ the time. Promise, god of computers, help me out of this one.. I'll never, I mean never do a stupid thing like this again. OK?<<<>>>

Just download and installed Internet Explorer 7 and now that bar at the top of the window has a bunch of little squires in it instead of the name of the place that I am visiting. I am try to find a fix for the problem but saying the thingie at the top of the window doesn't seem to find any hits, LOL. Anyway if you know what it is called or you know how to fix the problem please let me know.

the payment from my bank account in natwest has been taken after 4 days of buying but in paypal its still 'pending' and 'uncleared'. the seller is in the US and im UK. does it usually take this long? people said payment should be straight away with a card but its not.
