Why did you bid on the item ?? Bidding just to run up the price is stupid. The only way you will not have to accept the item is if it is not what was described. ie... An Item is discribed as being in mint condition and when it is sent to you it is falling apart. Or if you were bidding on a red dress and they send you a blue dress instead. Otherwise if you were bidding with no intent on actually winning but just bidding for biddings sake. Pay for it and leave ebay. I dont need to bid against you for something YOU have no intent on winning or wanting other than to see how high you can drive up the price !!!

Yes you do . Why did you bid for it if you dont want it? That is just putting the price up on someone else. If you dont pay up for what you won you will get a bad rating and may get refused bidding in the future.

yes sorry
don't bid if you dont intend to buy, if you dont pay for the item you will get an unpaid item strike {3 of these bad boys and you get kicked off ebay}
and a negative feedback, a lot of sellers refuse to sell to people who have a lot of negative feedbacks for non payment and they will just block you from bidding on their items, thats what i do aswell.

when you place a bid you are agreeing to honor that bid.
you are more or less obligated to keep that agreement if you are the winning bidder (second chance offer is different you can decline them )
best policy is to accept bid if you placed it and make payment for the item or items
ebay can place a strike against you for non-payment if you dont among other actions

If you bid and win then you buy. If you refuse to buy the seller can give you a negative rating unless you give them a good reason as to why you can't buy.

yes....but the way around it is to send it back if you don't want it...always check the refund policy from the seller...if you are still not sure then dont bid
