yes the A/c is free but you need to be invited by someone to join for a free signup. Please let me know ur e-mail address.

It is free, but due to some clever marketing on their part, you must get an invitation to join Gmail from someone who already has it. Everyone who has it gets 99 invites, so there's no shortage there. In order for someone to invite you, they need your email address (hotmail, yahoo, etc).

If you have a mobile phone you can use http://gmail.com otherwise you still need an invite from someone.

yes it is. unfortunately, it's also invite only.... so u have to get a friend to invite you to sign up.
